I can’t BELIEVE I forgot to post these pictures yesterday with the rest of Bailey’s Marilyn pics. These were only, the 4 most important shots of the day! Forgive me, I lack sleep or caffiene!
Photography by Lana Cease from Maryville, MO. Covering Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas and destination weddings beyond!
My passion is photography.
I have typical "middle child syndrome" (That means that I'm always going for the laugh.) Sarcasm is my super power. I live in the country on a make believe ranch. I don't herd cattle, just chickens.
My favorite ice cream is Butterfinger by Edy's but I never buy it, mainly because I'll eat it all at once. LOL. I love shoes but you will rarely see me in the summer in anything other than flip flops.
The stupidest thing I've ever done was break my foot - on a shoot. (Because I'm cool like that) :p I pushed through and shot 6 weddings in a walking cast. (Because I'm insane like that).
My best friend is a stinky boy. I married him, and he follows me around and lovingly carries my equipment, if I bribe him with butterfingers.
I'm a former mommy - now just "Mom" or "Mother" - to two young men. One is out in the big bad world on his own, and the other is a quickly growing teenager in high school. Neither one of them think I'm cool.
I'm ok with that.

I am based out of Maryville, Missouri (northwest corner), but am willing to travel anywhere on this planet a plane will take me. We cover Kansas City, St. Joseph, Missouri, Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska and Des Moines, Iowa. I have a special fondness for Colorado and Utah.
I take photos because I'm driven to create.
I really like making normal people look their best, so you probably won't see any gorgeous models in my portfolio. Just regular people who look like gorgeous models. For many people, my images will be a defining point in their self-image. I take that seriously, and I treat them with a respect befitting the beauty I see in all people. That's what I strive to create and the spirit with which I approach those for whom I'm privledged to make portraits.
That's not just something flowery I say to make people feel good. It's real and it's also our mission statement.
So, let’s chat! Coffee, tea, skype, lunch, or old fashioned phone call - you can reach me at 660-927-0491 most week days between 9:00 - 5:30. I look forward to hearing from you.

I love this family. No really. Bailey’s mom was in my school (a couple years younger, although I can’t get her to fall for the idea that maybe she was older than me They are so “out there” and fun. Any idea that I throw at them they say “yes please! Can we do it...

Have you ever met someone and said “gosh I just love them”. That’s Hannah and Sam. They are beautiful people, beautiful on the inside and it shines right through the outside. It’s so obvious that the two of them are madly in love, that sometimes it feels a little like an intrusion to take their...

You captured so many great moments of this beautiful day! The bear holding the bouquet made me laugh, and I LOVE the bridal portraits, esp. the one with Hannah sitting in the chair showing off her gorgeous dress and Sam is standing behind her… I love that one! Beautiful work!
The last picture is my favourite. Very sweet emotion captured.
Tons of detail shots and I love them all, especially the dress shot at the top with the clock. Really stunning work!
What a beautiful wedding! I Particularly like the one of Hannah in the doorway – great lighting

Great job these, especially on the portraits. The last few photos are great too. Well done!
I love how you capture and document the day – it’s beautifully portrayed! I love that little creek you used for the portraits, it’s so unique and beautiful!
Wow, this is the first time i’ve been to you site and I love your processing! The image of her stepping down to the waterside really grabbed me – awesome!
Ahhhh the shots with the kids are just priceless. Wonderful job, great set of images – you really knock it out of the park!! Like the creative use of your logo as a spacer too, very nicely done.
I love the one of her shoes walking around the waterfall! Awesome!
what an adorable wedding!! i love the reception photos the most, but the couple look so sweet and very much in love in all your portraits. great job.
Great details – love how you captured the dress with the clock.
Gorgeous work, Lana! That location is super awesome!
I love your treatment of the details – my fav though is the bride leaning her head on her grooms shoulder… very sweet.
